We are getting our own wine produced – can you print labels to match our invitations?
Yes, we can print labels for your wine as well as bridal and baby showers, Stag & Doe invites, table cards, menus, programmes, thank you cards, seating charts etc. – just about anything you would need for your special day. Labels are generally not available in the metallic papers that we use for invites, but can be made to look very similar.
I would like a piece of clip art for my project. Will you find my special image?
No, we don’t go searching for clip art images. Clip art can be downloaded from the internet (make sure it’s tagged for re-use) or there are many places where photos and clip art can be purchased. Try http://www.bigstockphoto.com, http://www.istockphoto.com or many of the other online stock photo suppliers.
I saw a font a while ago that I think would look good on my invitation, Can you use it?
We can use just about any font that is available. We do not go looking for fonts though so DO NOT send us a photo or scan of a font and expect us to look for it. There are, by some estimates, over a half a BILLION fonts so finding one by the way it looks is very time consuming, difficult and perhaps even impossible. If you can supply the Name of the font, it should be possible but sometimes special fonts can incur a charge for the font. Sometimes fonts can sell for over $100 for a complete font family.
Can you match the invite colours to my Bridesmaid’s dresses?
Different materials have different characteristics when it comes to reflected light. There are literally hundreds of pre coloured fancy papers so the chances of getting something close to the dresses are pretty good, but do not expect getting an exact match.
How accurate are the colours I see on the web site?
Colours on monitors usually look different than seeing them in person. When it comes to colour, there are many variables so we encourage all to get a print proof for final judgement. Keep in mind that we may also have to use papers, ribbons etc. from different batches which may have a slight colour shift.
We live out of town, can we do all of this without visiting you?
Yes, we work with customers all over North America. The graphics work can all be done using email and the internet and the print proofs can be mailed directly to you. We can use Canada Post, Fedex, UPS, or Purolator courier services for tracked and insured shipping.
We would like to see an actual sample or mock up of our design before we order the batch – Is that possible?
Yes, we recommend getting a print proof for your invitation to see what the final version will look like. There’s nothing like having a mock up in your hands to do any final tweaking. We charge $30 per print proof including mailing it to your home.
We just got some news that means we should get married sooner than planned – can you do fast service?
Yes, we have what we call “Shotgun Service” for those sudden change of plans.
Can you gold foil my invitations?
Yes, we can foil pages up to 11×17″ in gold, or silver (in stock) or in other colours including white on a dark paper. Foiling requires the paper to have a smooth surface.
I have a very unique invite that I wish to have produced and it includes a fancy cut edge. Can you do that?
We have the ability (in house) to die cut up to 11.5″ x 18.5″ in size. Your own design would require the making of a steel rule die which can cost around $200 – $250.
Do you have any guidelines regarding wedding invitation wording?
Yes, we can email you a pdf which can be used for helping you to write all types of wedding invitations – formal, or casual.
I have a photo of a design that I would like for my own invite, can you reproduce the over all look for my invite?
Yes, we have experienced graphic designers who can use your photo to build your invite to look very similar
I would like to use a special ribbon I bought overseas on my invites – can that be done?
Yes, If you have a favourite ribbon or accessory that you wish to use, we can assemble it for you or leave it for you to apply once the basic invitations are complete. In some cases ribbons etc. must be applied before or during final assembly.
Can you print the envelopes?
Yes, we can print to envelopes. Quite often envelopes are printed with just the return address and the individual invitation recipients’ address would be hand written. We can also print the recipient address as well as the return address but we require your guest list to be properly set up using a spread sheet such as Excel or Numbers. Ask for formatting info if you wish this service. For a cheaper alternative, we can also print address labels.
Can we buy the invitations already printed and cut and then put them together ourselves?
Yes, we offer a “kit service” where all the items required are printed, cut and supplied for the final assembly. This does save on costs.
Is it possible to produce the cards and allow us to apply rhinestones or other items?
Yes, we often supply the basic printed invitations and the customers can then apply their own accessories.
My cousin (sister, etc.) is a graphic designer – can we submit our design for you to produce the items?
Yes, we can work with your designer and even supply templates if required. Normally additional graphic charges will not be incurred for customer supplied graphics.
What if I like the shape and style of one of your invites but would like to change the paper type or colour, ribbon and graphics etc.?
As soon as one wishes to alter a design, the graphics charges take affect. We charge $60 per hour for our design service and many projects can be done with less than two hours of billable time. Many other projects can take days worth of graphics time which can add up to more than the actual invitations.
What if I only need 20 invites for a small wedding?
We certainly can do small amounts of invites but there will be a modest set up and/or graphics fee.
Do you charge a setup or graphics fee?
Not for our ready to go projects where the only thing that you can change is the text keeping the graphics, paper colours, ribbons etc. stay as shown. This basically eliminates the hours of graphic design time required for an invite and as a result, there is normally no graphics or setup fee for projects over 25 pieces.
